EIGHT

I stroke Favor’s back as she lays in my arms in our bedroom. She purrs in my ear, both of us satiated from our intense lovemaking. Twenty-four hours felt like twenty-four days without her in my arms, and in my bed.

Her stomach grumbles angrily and she buries her head in my shoulder, embarrassed, as I laugh out loud. “Come on, woman, let me feed you,” I say, sitting up slowly.

She stretches and lets out a yawn, her nipples peeking above the sheet. I lick my lips hungrily, debating if I’d be considered an asshole if I made a meal out of her before I fed her actual food. Her stomach answers the hot debate in my mind and I decide to settle for a cold shower instead.

“I wish we could just stay in here for the night.” She pouts as she rises.

“Me too,” I say, taking her into my arms and kissing her chin, her neck, her— Wait, what were we talking about?

“Come on, let’s shower so we can eat.” She giggles and pushes me away.

I watch her walk towards the bathroom while I debate if the chef does room service. She peeks her head from around the bathroom door and gives me a come-hither look. “Coming?” Her eyes are alight with mischief and laughter as I prowl towards her.
